The dictionary

Lexitaire's Tagalog word list comes from the GNU Aspell Tagalog dictionary, by Kevin Scannell and Ramil Sagum, mirrored at jmalonzo/tl-wordlist, licensed LGPL. Challenge links in this language currently only work between browser-version players — the native app doesn't support it yet.

Letters & tiles

The letter bag is 100 tiles: 25 of 26 letters appear in the word list (only Q is entirely absent). The tile distribution is corpus-derived — and A is unusually dominant, at roughly a quarter of all letters, thanks to Tagalog's heavy prefix/infix/suffix use.
