The dictionary

Lexitaire's Indonesian word list comes from geovedi/indonesian-wordlist, licensed Public domain. Challenge links in this language currently only work between browser-version players — the native app doesn't support it yet.

Letters & tiles

The letter bag is 100 tiles: the full 26-letter alphabet. The tile distribution is corpus-derived, since no verifiable official Indonesian Scrabble distribution could be found — apportioned from real letter frequency in the word list itself, in the same spirit as an official one.

Worth knowing

• Indonesian has no counterpart in the native iPhone/iPad/Apple TV app at all — everything about it was built fresh for the browser version.
• Word lookups beyond Wiktionary go to KBBI, Indonesia's own government-published dictionary — fittingly, the same authority the word list itself ultimately traces back to.
