The dictionary
Lexitaire's Arabic word list comes from LibreOffice’s Arabic Hunspell dictionary (base dictionary forms only — full affix expansion would balloon this to roughly 87 million inflected forms), a packaging of the Ayaspell project's dictionary, licensed GPL-3.0 / LGPL-3.0 / MPL-1.1. Challenge links in this language open correctly in the native iPhone/iPad/Apple TV app too.
Letters & tiles
The letter bag is 100 tiles: 36 distinct tiles: the 28-letter core alphabet, plus ة and ى, plus every hamza-seat form (ء/أ/إ/آ/ؤ/ئ) kept as its own tile. Arabic has no letter case at all. The tile distribution is corpus-derived — no verifiable official distribution could be confirmed.

Worth knowing
- Arabic is Lexitaire's first right-to-left language — the whole interface mirrors accordingly when playing in it.
- As of a recent update, Arabic challenge links now open correctly in the native iPhone/iPad/Apple TV app too, not just between browser players.
