Lexitaire is now playable straight from a browser at mintyfreshapps.com/lexitaire/web_game -- no App Store account, no install, just open the link and start dealing tiles. It's an installable, offline-capable app in its own right: add it to your home screen or desktop and it keeps working without a connection once it's loaded the first time.
This first release plays in English, ported from the same board, scoring, and word-search logic as the native app. Rather than the native app's hundreds of small per-letter dictionary files (built for 2008-era memory limits), the browser version ships one sorted word list and checks it with binary search -- a single download instead of hundreds of small ones, friendlier to slower connections.
A few things only make sense in a browser: challenge a friend with a shareable link or a scannable QR code, right from the page, no app required to receive it.
