Version 4.0 is live on the App Store now -- the biggest update in the game's history, going back some 15 years to when it began life as Wordly (read that story). The entire app has been rebuilt from the ground up in Swift for a faster, more reliable experience. It's still the same tile-spelling game underneath: your saved games, top scores, and language dictionaries all carried over untouched.
The headline new feature is Apple TV: Lexitaire is now playable on the big screen with the Siri Remote, a first for this game.
4.0 also ships with real dictionaries in 9 languages -- English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Greek, Romanian, and Dutch -- and compatible ones can be combined on one board for extra scoring chances. The app's own interface is localized into 19 languages, so the menus can read in your language even on a board dealt in a different one.
